TFW Seminar!?! 1 Year, 3 Months ago Karma: 1834
I've had a lot of requests for a seminar in different threads- so let's discuss it in detail here. Any ideas on dates? I'm open to all kinds of ideas. What kinds of content would you like covered?

How to get out of bad positions such as being mounted and defending submissions. You know how i love to power out of everything and it is something i am trying to correct.

Yes, the seminar would be in Milledgeville, Georgia. Travel arrangements could be made at the local Holiday Inn Express. It's nice, and it's a good, small college town with a decent night life. The seminar would probably be $250-$300 for a three day seminar and would cover the following topics:
1) Basic striking for MMA
- Leg kicks
- Footwork (correct steps)
- Punching combinations
- Using strikes to set up submissions and vice versa

2) Takedowns and defending the takedowns

3) Sweeping and controlling your opponent
- Escaping from the bottom position
- Advancing your position with high percentages
- MMA oriented grappling (not the traditional BJJ)

If anyone else has anything they'd like to add- I'm VERY open to suggestions. Please advise!

This sounds like it might come together. I need a realistic head count, and if the head count reaches 7+ then I'll put an item in the store and you can purchase your access there. I'm going to limit the quantity to 15 because I want to make sure that I get some good personal time with each individual.

Also, if you want to- then in the store you can purchase multiple quantities in case you have a friend who wants to come to the seminar but isn't a TFW member (why wouldn't they just join?).

Once we solidify some of the people who will be attending- I will then get YOU GUYS to make most of the syllabus because I want to make sure that I address EXACTLY what it is that you want.

I'm thinking that March 13-15 will be the tentative dates of the seminar. I'm pretty booked up for my "real job" during February, so this seems like it would work.

Any other suggestions?
