As some of you have already noticed, there is now an extra link underneath MMA Community. That link is "Community Groups" and allows you to join groups of people together much like on Facebook or MySpace. One obvious advantage to this would be if you had a few guys from your gym that were all members. You could create a group where people would have to ask for permission to join.

Another advantage to joining a group is that once you have joined, you will have access to that groups private forums. Just like in the MMA Discussion Board how you can interact with other users, each group has its own private section of that board so that you engage in conversation privately. Again, this would be good for scheduling changes at a gym, upcoming events, or newsletters.

There are many different ways to form groups, and if you have any questions about the ways to set the security permissions then please feel free to ask me.
