Hello everyone--
Just wanted to let you know that we have been experiencing some technical difficulties at TFW over the past few days. It was brought to my attention that the kickboxing pants category in the store was routing users to the Blue Belt Downloadable Set. For the site, we are using a component that rewrites all of the URLs so that they are more Search Engine Friendly (SEF). This SEF component was routing that category wrong, so I had to clean out the cache and delete all of the URLs that it had generated. Upon re-installing the component, the registration button was not working, as that URL became incorrectly routed. That is absolutely unacceptable, so I had to disable the SEF component for the profiles of the site.

Upon doing this, the profile URL component is no longer automatically syncing with the users database. Since this feature is not AS important as the registration feature, I have decided to leave the site the way that it is for now, and manually sync the users a few times a day.

The bottom line for what this means as an end user is that if you are one of the people who registered for the site and then you typed in www.trainfightwin.com/USERNAME, you probably got a 404 error. Now that you have been manually synced, your profile should be working properly now. I am in a training seminar all day until Saturday evening, so will hopefully have this issue fully resolved on Sunday. Again, I apologize for the inconvenience, and will let everyone know the progress of the fix. Thank you for your patience.

-Richard

I think that I have this issue resolved, but you might run into a few errors. If you run into a blank page that says 500 Internal Server Error, then please refresh your browser a couple of times. Also, if you had any pages bookmarked, you might have to change the links.

If you run into any other errors on the site, please let me know and I'll be happy to look into them.

Is anyone still getting "500 Internal Server errors?" On some computers I am getting them and on some I am not. Any input?

This problem should be resolved. The error was actually only in my profile, so none of you should have even experienced it. I was getting a 500 error whenever I tried to view my profile. It seems that the error was in the Profile Photo Gallery and for some reason my permissions were defaulted differently than everyone else's. However, I have disabled that feature for now and am currently working on a different way to allow users to post their pictures. Since so many people are currently using Facebook, I am working on a way to implement your Facebook picture albums (you can choose which ones)into your profile on TrainFightWin.com! This will allow you to share any/all of your pictures from Facebook without having to upload them all over again here. I'll keep you posted as to when that feature should be complete.

Okay guys, I hate to say it-- but TrainFightWin.com has been undergoing some technical difficulties in the past few days. I'm not sure if any of you have noticed, but there have been a few glitches in the system recently. First, the mambot which controls video embedding in the message board is down temporarily. It is conflicting with another mambot, and that issue is being addressed. That means that the embedded videos in the discussion boards are not showing up correctly at this time.

Next, PLEASE let me know if you are receiving any 500 errors from within the site. There is a problem within my profile still that is generating a 500 Internal Server error anytime that I try to look at my profile while I am logged in. This is the reason that I have temporarily added this profile. I'm not sure, but I don't THINK that this problem is occurring with any other users. There again though-- if you are receiving any 500 Internal Server Errors from the site (especially from your profile page), PLEASE let me know by either email, private message, or a reply to this post!

If there are any other errors that arise that you notice, please let me know. I have tried feverishly to keep up with the rapid growth of the site, and it is quite difficult to do so while maintaining a "real" job as well. If there is anyone out there that is knowledgeable in Joomla and would like to help, then I would most certainly appreciate it! Thanks in advance.
