January 10 of this year was the official launch date of this site. In its original stages, the site lacked much direction and exploded in popularity before it was truly ready. While this is a good problem to have, it was still a problem. During this first half of the year, there have been some set backs and some technical difficulties during our growing pains- but I'd like to reflect on some of the great accomplishments that we have conquered in just six short months.
First off, there are the obvious statistics... Such as the tens of thousands of unique visitors each month that visit our site. Last month (June, 2008), we had users visit our site from 74 different countries around the world. There's the fact that we are knocking on the door of 1,000 registered users- even though in the early stages of our site, there was no formal registration process. Then there's the video popularity... With almost 700 subscribers on YouTube alone, our videos have been viewed just shy of HALF A MILLION times on the internet! Our video packages have been bought by customers throughout the United States, Mexico, Canada, France, the UK, Guam, Australia, the Philippines, Iraq, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Sweden, and MANY other places. After the original set of videos that were such a quick success on the internet (and were over 7 hours in length), we have released two subsequent sets that our users are enjoying ("
Defend, Escape, Counter," & "
The Aggressive Guard" ). Currently, we are working on getting our line of MMA gear and apparel available to our customers and will hopefully have products within the next two months. We have had numerous other video requests, and already have a syllabus lined out for our next set...
All in all, it has been a tremendous start to TrainFightWin.com! In just six short months- we have accomplished some great feats and we are showing no signs of slowing down. I appreciate everyone's feedback and support- and I look forward to the many improvements that our users will make in their Mixed Martial Arts abilities.
Martially,
Richard Whirley
