How many times do you think you have to drill a move until you can do it 2nd nature?

Kind of depends on the move and how it fits into your style. If the sub meshes well with you and can be set up w/o major tweeking to the way you roll then you cold possily pick it up very easily. Not saying it doesn't need drilled. But it will most certainly stick faster than something that requires a very foreign set up. I put less weight on th complexity of the sub. If it fits with you then the set up is there makeing it really not so complex.
And secondly, IMO, I think people put way to much emphassis in redundant repetative dilling. Same way, day in and day out. Compliant partner drills are for getting the mechanics down. But the only way to really learn to use it, in my opinion only, is to work it while rolling live. What good is having a pretty armbar against a compliant partner when you can ever seem to pull it off on a guy who resisting??
I think the hardest part about grappling isn't mastering the moves. It's recognizing and taking avantage of the openings presented to you in any given situation.
