Be warned- my frustrated two cents spoils the Couture-Coleman fight if you haven't seen it yet.

Warning Spoiler!

Aside from that, I really thought that UFC 109 was a good card. It included some great fights and some surprising finishes. The 170 lb class has a new stud in it, Maia showed some improvements in the stand up category, and for a card without a title fight- it was certainly entertaining.

The post-fight interview with Mark Coleman was far more entertaining than his fight. (I don't think him and Tito will go to the post-fight party together.)

Any thoughts?

Seeing Stann lose made me happy. His time in the spotlight is over. he needs to make a career of the Corp. Because he's not going to make one as a fighter. I seriously dislike anybody who exagerates or lies about their accomplishments.

I wanted Danzig to lose something fierce. Espcially after hearing him sprak off about if he lost to Justin he didn't deserve to be in the UFC.

Serra, Mia and Couture were basically givens.

Sonnen has been a darkhorse in the sport for a while. It's about time he got some attention. Let's hope it doesn't go to his head.

I was really impressed by Melvin. That guys seriously matured.

Sonnen has just the right style to give Silva a hard time. Silva's weakest point is his lame takedown defense, and Sonnen wouldn't have any trouble tossing him around like a ragdoll. Sonnen also has a good chin so he might be able to withstand a blow while coming in for the takedown. Silva still might finish him off his back but Sonnen stands a much better chance on top than he does standing.

Coleman really looked his age against Couture. Ortiz has no respect whatsoever for the elders of the sport, when he should be thanking them for making the sport what it is today. I know he enjoys being a sh** disturber but there is a time and place for everything.

Tito whole heartedly believes he is the single greatest fighter ever in the history of the UFC. He believe's he is the man that made it popular and flat refuses to believe anything different. If you spend a half hour in his gym you flat out realize that there is no limit to just how much Tito loves himself.
