Okay, maybe he is not exactly the mini version of Anderson Silva, but he seems pretty great to me.

Not Silva- that's for sure... But he is exciting to watch and is definitely pushing that weight class in the right direction!

Aldo is good, but he's not what he will be in a few more years. Aldo has fast striking; but, it takes more than that to hold a belt, especially in a division where almost everyone has some kind of speed. He takes risks (like the flying knees against Cub) that he really doesn't have to, and that IMO aren't always worth the potential payout. So what if he got a K.O.? 9 times out of 10 I watch a guy get in big trouble when he tries stuff like that (like Faber-Brown I). And we've never seen him in a real grappling situation, either. What happens when a wrestler or a jiu-jitsu expert gets his hands on him and brings him down? "Error: Data N/A". He's great, he deserves his belt, but I think he'll lose it before we see him become the champion he has the potential to be.

There is hope for me yet
Because God won’t forget
All the plans he’s made for me
I have to wait and see
He’s not finished with me yet

Supposedly his BJJ is top notch, and the little I have seen of it looks solid. We'll see, I guess.
