Count me in. I have the DVD's already (Had them for like a year now) and came up with excuse after excuse of why I should be lazy and not do it. Also if the standard P90x is not your thing. They do have variations. For instance I am going to do the cardio based one before I jump into the standard.

Awesome point, Letalis. BeachBody has tons of different programs that can specifically work on cardio, abs, legs, etc. All of those programs are available HERE. The P90X program is simply the one that I thought would best apply for MMA competition. It's like it was made for fighters! A full body workout that focuses on core strength and endurance- perfect for the serious competitor.

I'm proud of the guys that have answered the call and know that there's more out there. Who are they? Let's get this going!

I'm not a fan of P90X. If you're totally new to the fitness game then it has a lot offer, at a price. Can't really say I'm down with stuff like dumbbell kickbacks for task specifity (if there even is any for that exercise). I'm not a real fan of Crossfit either as the owner, Glassman, is a really out of shape guy who is making a killing off of marketing basic GPP.

There are so many outstanding resources out there and I can't recommend Rosstraining enough. I'm interested in see who well some people here do on the P90X program.

Here is an example of what I do (that's me doing it BTW)

We understand that this program isn't for everyone. If your program is working for you, stick with it. But for the guys like me that don't have the fitness program that they need to maintain a healthy lifestyle and who need some way to jump-start their workout routine in a BIG way- this is the challenge!

I appreciate everyone's feedback. If you'd like to see some of the people that experienced some great results with P90X, then you can check out THIS PAGE.

You've all been called to action. You've all been handed a simple format and system to get you in the best shape possible in just three months. Make a three month investment in yourself and see what it does for your grappling/MMA game. What's the worst that could happen? You're a little sore and still in better shape than when you started?!? This is supposed to hurt! MMA is an extreme sport, so we need an extreme workout routine to help get our bodies in peak physical shape!

Today is the first day of my 90 days with P90x. I started with Core Synergistics. As a tip for those of you who are still getting their gear together to begin. Make sure you have AMPLE space to work out in. At least five feet in every direction as some of the work outs will have you all over the floor and in my case running into a coffee table and a bookshelf.
