I truly believe that everyone should check out the
P90X program if they are serious about taking their training or competition abilities to the next level.
Also, I'm glad you mentioned it- the
1001 Submissions resource is a phenomenal investment. If you are a beginner grappler, it has a lot of options that you'll want to explore as you get more experienced. If you're a more experienced grappler, it will serve as a great mental refresher and maybe give you a different aspect of a given submission or chain that you didn't previously have.
One resource that offers a slightly more MMA oriented view of the submission game (and also includes striking) is
Bas Rutten's Big Books of Combat. It's also a great resource that shows everything from training routines and striking combinations to escapes and submissions.
