I looked into it and they are saying that Madsen beat Brock in some places and in others they say he lost. http://www.fightnews.com/?p=16812

this may just be my opinion but i think they picked alot of competitors kimbo can beat. dana doesnt want kimbo to win but he wants it to make it near the end of the show. people want to see kimbo, thats why he is on the ultimate fighter. usually talent on TUF is very good but i think its more than a coincidence that the season kimbo is on there, they pick the out of shape guys. i hope thats the case and that the big boys arent all like that. i would love to see the heavyweight division be as stacked as the 205 division. in fact, id love every division to be that way. no the best wrestler on there is justin wren. he was a national champion in folkstyle and roman greco. he got a scholarship to the olympic training center. also has one of the best records at 10-1. schoonover is another one to watch at 10-0. even though roy nelson is the IFL champion, he doesnt impress me that much. he seems to be a little egotistical too. i mean madsen is good but he only has 1 fight under his belt and that can be a disadvantage when he is going against someone equally skilled. the thing is that even if some of the guys win, alot of them have lost to guys that are bottom tier heavyweights such as christian wellisch and brad imes. wes sims couldnt compete with a weak heavyweight division, he would get eaten alive now. overall, it is pretty weak. i speculate that he picked enough weak guys so kimbo could make it to the semi finals and keep the rating up. just speculation though
Yeah i was thinking the same thing.

My problem sometimes is that I trust the UFC too much....
That's funny. I've completely lost all faith in the UFC. Especially in TUF. I was already teatering on the edge when the Lesnar fiasco tipped me the rest of the way. What's next, jobbed fights to keep Dana's cash cows in the top rankings??? Oh wait... he already didn't give a damn about legit ranking befor giving Lesnar a head of the line pass to the title.
A little insight on the begining phase of TUF selection as of late. The first 4 seasons were straight up. Now guys with top name camp affiliations are given preferential treatment. No namers have to "try out" more than once to even be considered. And the selection process of unknown-no camp guys was odd. Because they'd select guys who were obviously not the best to pass on to the next selection phase. I didn't advance passed the 2nd evaluation phase because I couldn't take a LOA from my real career nor was I willing to just quit. And I can understand their choice. But there was a ton of talking going on and I know of three guys I have personally beaten in amateur competition who made it to the next selection phase that had their asses handed to them during the try outs. It sounded like the were giving the obvious cans a pass to the next round in order to set them against guys they actually wanted on the show. During the first couple selection interviews they flat out told us to expect to be passed over for people "you think" are much worse than you are. Be it skill, conditioning or attitude wise... or all three. And it wasn't much of a "you think" thing. A couple of the guys they took to the next selection phase were absoloute crap. One had a 2-11 record and could easily be a MW if his lardass would just work out.
TUF isn't a chance for guys like me. It's a chance for big camps to get their up and coming studs into the limelight without running them through the lower level competiton circuit.

Let me just say that I was completely underwhelmed by tonight's fights. I don't like Kimbo Slice, I wasn't impressed in the slightest by Roy Nelson- and Rampage is a moron.
Kimbo is a complete fish out of water on the ground, Roy Nelson's physique resembles chewed bubble gum, and Rampage's coaching strategies include trash-talking, AWFUL jokes, and ebonics slang... Not my favorite season.
My predictions- somehow Dana will tailor-make the show for a Kimbo comeback. He'll lose again, but he'll get a contract with the UFC because Dana can sell him and make some money off his image.
If Kimbo would lose the "Kimbo Slice" crap and go back to "Kevin Ferguson" (his real name), and then train his butt off with top-knotch guys- then I could see myself not despising him. But my goodness, I have been completely disappointed in this show this season. Heavyweights are terrible to watch at this level.
Sorry for the rant.... Just ill after that display of "WTF" that I just watched...

This is the worse season ever. I kinda feel like i am watching the Real World. Which i have never really watched because it just didn't seem so real. Same thing here i feel like somebody is trying to fool me into thinking that i am watching some kind of great potential athletes to make the UFC heavy weight division better. There are one maybe two guys who have anything to offer to the UFC. If this keeps up i fear that the days of the Forrest Griffins, Reshad Evans, J. Stephens, Jardins, and D. Sanchez maybe numbered. They will all have to tryout by first appearing on Youtube.
